The Seed: On "Sacred Boundaries"

March 15, 2025 · Allegra De Borja

A weekly invitation to transform from the inside out.

Happy Seed Wednesday!

Here’s an idea (The Seed), a way to go deeper (The Soil), and a journal prompt (The Root) to explore..

I. THE SEED (THE IDEA)

To know who you are, you must begin by knowing who you are not.

You become more fully yourself—not by addition, but by subtraction. By quietly observing what no longer belongs in your inner world, you begin to express your own unique colours with more clarity and strength.

This discernment—of people, places, objects, memories, and thoughts—is sacred. It asks you to honour the yes and no that rise from your body and your being.

Your “feeling” mind is just as wise as your logical one. Trust both.

II. THE SOIL (GO DEEPER)

Go Deeper: The Hermit (Tarot)

The Hermit is the archetype of retreat, self-trust, and inner vision. Standing alone on a cliff in the night, his only light is the lantern he holds—the one he lit himself.

He turns away from the noise of the world, not out of fear, but to hear more clearly what’s within.

Do you trust yourself enough to be still,
To stand at the edge of your own inner landscape,
To face what arises in the quiet?

Your boundaries are shaped here—in the space where silence meets truth.

III. THE ROOT (JOURNAL PROMPT)

Reflect and journal on the following:

  • If I weren’t bound by unspoken expectations, who would I be?
  • What do I say yes to—and what am I letting into my life as a result?
  • What do I say no to—and what does that protect or preserve?
